Jon has been raving in and out about this spot which, for some reason, I’ve tried to avoid. Not because I don’t trust his judgement, but because I’m not fond of thinking about eating sausages/meat. No, I’m not a vegetarian. Anyway, all Jon had to say is “they have fries and all kinds of sauces” to make me re-consider. He knows me too well. To make a long story short, we were in the area, and I was exceptionally hungry.
What I bit into: Grilled gourmet Sun Dried Tomato & Mozzarella in a smoked chicken & turkey sausage topped with Caramelized onions and Spicy Peppers (jalapeños and bell peppers).
Other items ordered: Grilled gourmet Santa Fe Jack Cheese & Jalapeño peppers in a smoked turkey sausage, and a juicy grilled exotic Duck & Bacon with Jalapeño Peppers. All of our sausages were topped with Caramelized onions and Spicy Peppers. We also ordered Groot, which is large fries with 2 dipping sauces. This was a size up from the Klein (small, one dipping sauce). The menu says the fries were “double dipped,” to my assumption translates to “twice fried” which is how I think fries should always be cooked: Crispy golden, by no means-burnt, still meaty but far from soggy. My kind of fry. We chose the Bleu Cheese Walnut & Bacon, and Tzatziki as our primier dipping sauces.. Aww hell yeah.
